Where are the Texas Longhorns Soccer Camps held?
Texas Longhorns Soccer Camps are headquartered at Mike A. Myers Stadium and Soccer Field, UT’s primary game field. Sessions are also conducted at other locations on the main UT campus and just north of campus at Whitaker Fields. On campus locations include the Frank Denius Indoor Facility ("The Indoor Bubble"), Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, Clark Field, UT RecSports Center, and Gregory Gym.

More detailed information regarding facility use for specific camps will be provided on the "Camp Info" tab as it becomes available.

Who are the coaches at Texas Soccer Camp?
The University of Texas head coach Angela Kelly and UT assistant coaches Lee Hughes and Ben Munger oversee the Texas Longhorns Soccer Camps and are actively involved in the day-to-day training of the campers. Bryce Raygor serves as our camp director. In addition, the Texas Longhorns Soccer Camp is committed to bringing in some of the finest college, high school and club coaches in the country.

How do I get in touch with my child at overnight camp? Can I leave a message for my child while he/she is at camp?
The best way to get ahold of your camper while at camp is by calling and/or leaving a message on the camp phone, 512-939-9857. Any issues can often be resolved in the most efficient manner by contacting the camp director before communicating with players and/or the Callaway House. Parents are invited to attend any and all sessions and parents can also meet with their children in the lobby of the Callaway House should further communication be necessary (please note parents are not allowed on camper floors of the Callaway House). Furthermore, campers are allowed to bring cell phones and other communication devices to camp, however it is the camper's responsibility to make sure these items are safe and protected.

**Please call the camp phone at 512-471-3624 for any communication needs before calling the Callaway House.

Will my child need bed linens and toiletries?
Yes! All campers will need a pillow and bed linens or sleeping bag! You will also need to send toiletries and towels with your camper. Please visit the “What to Bring” tab for a full list of items to bring. Most of the available beds at the Callaway House are twin XL, however full beds are also sometimes assigned based on room availability. We recommend bringing full sheets to camp to be prepared for all situations. Please call at 512-939-9857 for further information prior to camp.

Will my child be supervised in the dorm?
The safety of our campers is our top priority. Every camper will be assigned to at least one coach and counselor. Our staff coaches and counselors maintain constant supervision throughout all camp activities, on and off the field. Campers are not allowed to leave the housing facility or camp facilities without supervision. Each floor and common area is supervised at all times by camp staff members. Camp staff will stay in the Callaway House and will execute room checks each night at 10:30 pm.

A licensed and experienced athletic trainer is on duty to administer all minor injuries and sickness, as well as monitor levels of hydration. An athletic trainer will also stay in the Callaway House to attend to athletic training related issues during rest and meal hours. For serious problems, the UT Health Center is available.

A trained staff member is assigned to the front desk at the Callaway House 24/7 to monitor the front entrance and ensure that only authorized persons enter the premises. All guests and visitors must sign in at the front desk. At least one security officer holding a current noncommissioned security license issued through the Texas Private Security Board is assigned to walk the floors and make rounds throughout the Callaway House from 10 pm to 8 am.

Every member of our staff has completed all human resources procedures required by the University of Texas, the State of Texas, and the NCAA, including a comprehensive criminal background check and training for child abuse awareness and reporting.

**Parents and other Non-Texas Soccer Camp Staff will NOT be allowed on floors outside of check-in and check-out.

How are boys and girls separated for the Residential Camp?
In The Callaway House, campers are not permitted in rooms or floors occupied by people of the opposite sex and under no circumstances after “lights out.” Violation will result in expulsion from the camp without refund. All participants may socialize in supervised common areas of the Callaway House (game room, lobby, dining hall).

What about roommate requests?
Spending time with friends and teammates is a great way to have a deeper camp experience. The camp welcomes roommate requests and will attempt to accommodate all requests. During registration, please make sure that your camper and his/her preferred roommate(s) have written each other down on their respective forms. Roommate requests must correspond to each other. Typically rooming assignments are made within one week prior to the start of a session (in order to make sure pairs are assigned with the most updated information based on registration).

For campers attending as a team or in large groups, please contact us at texassoccer@utexas.edu in order to make arrangements.

Is there a penalty for a lost room key during camp?
There is a $50 fee for a lost room key. This will be charged to your online camp account.

How much spending money should I send with my camper?
The only money that campers will need is for any merchandise purchases during check-in or check-out, pizza (Overnight camps only), and a potential visit to the University CO-OP (Overnight camps only). Although meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) are covered through registration fees, most campers want a snack after the evening session. Pizza is available for purchase during dinner hours and will be delivered after the final training session of the evening (normally around 9 pm). Note that there will not be a camp bank. Campers will be responsible for their own money.

Will there be a camp store?
Yes! We will be operating a camp store for all camps! Merchandise will be available for purchase at check-in/registration and closing/check-out of each camp. The camp store will also likely be open onsite for the entirety of each day camp and specified hours during all overnight camps. The store will be for merchandise purchases only and no food will be available for purchase.

Will the rooms have refrigerators?
Yes and microwaves as well! Campers may bring snacks and beverages for the week.

How many campers will there be in each dorm room?
Most suites are designed for four campers with a bathroom being shared between two. If your camper is attending as part of an odd-numbered group, we will do our best to allow them to stay together, although there are no guarantees.

How will the campers get from the dorm to the field?
Campers will ride buses from the dorm to Myers Stadium and/or Whitaker for all soccer-related activities.

Do you offer transportation to and from the airport for out-of-town campers?
Some campers will need to be picked up and/or dropped off at the Austin Bergstrom International Airport. The fee for this service is $25 one way and $35 round trip. Please contact us if your child requires this pick-up/drop-off service.

What are the refund procedures?

  • Camp tuition is refundable as long as the camp is notified at least one week prior to a player’s respective session.

  • For any cancellation occurring more than one week prior to camp beginning, Texas Soccer Camp will refund the full camp tuition minus a 5% cancellation fee and the small processing/admin/service fees paid during registration.

  • For any cancellations within one week of camp beginning, campers will be refunded full camp fees minus the 40% camp deposit and the small processing/admin/service fees paid during registration, except for documented medical conditions or family emergencies.

  • There are no refunds for a “no show” or if a camper leaves early due to homesickness, injury, disciplinary reasons, or any other reasons.

  • There are no refunds once a session has started.

  • Camp tuition and fees will be refunded back to the same card used during registration.

  • Any merchandise purchased is non-refundable and will be sent to campers as soon as possible.
  •

Can I pay a deposit to hold my camper’s spot?
Yes! An initial deposit of 40% of each camp's tuition will hold your camper’s spot for all camps. Each deposit is non-refundable within one week from camp beginning. From there you can make payments whenever you would like. If a deposit option is selected, our registration portal will ask to save your credit card on file and it will be charged for the remaining camp balance one week prior to your camper's session.

Does my camper need a physical to participate in camp?
Yes! We do require that your camper has had a physical in the last 14 months prior to camp beginning. However, we no longer require a doctor's signature to verify their last physical exam.

Does Texas Longhorns Soccer Camps offer discounts or scholarships?
Texas Longhorns Soccer Camps offer a variety of discounts, whether you plan on attending as a group, plan on sending multiple family members to camp, plan to attend multiple camps, want to send an entire team to camp for training, or if you are a University of Texas employee.
